I have spent more time the past week looking in pond water! I am determined to find frog spawn(I think it might be too early or late) and/or tadpoles to raise in our classroom.
We are all pretty pumped about this unit study and I can't wait to continue all of our outdoor exploring. We started our study by visiting two close by ponds and collecting water samples. We were very surprised at how clear the water is this time of year.
We ended our measurement unit, but continue to constantly measure things during "Grow Your Brain" time, which is exactly what I love to see. I love that our students don't end a study and just forget it...true learning is taking place and life long skills and knowledge. We are about process, not product, and it truly shows. I am beyond proud of how much your children have learned and feel beyond blessed by your involvement and desire for your child's learning. I love being a part of their learning each day and am constantly amazed by them! Way to go, parents!
It is hard to believe that the school year is coming to an end and it is going to get very busy.
