Sunshine, Mud and Fresh Air!

It has been a great week of learning. loving, laughing and breathing in fresh air and soaking up the sunshine...of course, we love the mud too!  Clover, our horse, now comes up the fence when we get outside, as she knows that treats will be served.  It is so much fun!

We are still learning so much about owls and have talked about other oviparous animals(hatch from eggs), which may help to swing our study into a new direction. We are almost finisehd with our 3rd cycle of the alphabet and will be starting our last cycle in the next few weeks. We also had fun celebrating Dr. Seuss' birthday this week and LOVEd our green eggs and ham!  I think this is the first year that almost every student ate their entire serving of eggs.  It must have been because we served them DUCK eggs...shhhh, don't tell.   The development of a chick or duckling will be taking place within a month or two, as we hatch a few for our classroom, so I know our study will shift gears when I get brave enough to trust the weather.  I don't need baby chicks or ducklings in my house for too long.   This next study is my favorite and soooo much fun as we check eggs for fertilization and then watch the development take place.  Thank goodness my hens are married, even though they share husbamds.  ;)  It's all good.

We have set the date for graduation.  Mark your calendars for May 25th at 6 pm!  Remember to get your kiddos registered for kindergarten on the Ballard website if they will be attending Ballard next fall.  Our last official day of school will be on May 24th.  :(

Spring Conference information will be coming soon.  I am waiting on some information from Ballard West.  :)

Have a blessed weekend and enjoy the fresh cool spring air!
