Owls, Rainbows and Ducks

It can't already be the last couple months of preschool!  :(  It is truly amazing how fast time goes and especially when you are having fun, and we are having soooooo much fun!

We had an amazing owl study and feel so honored that ISU wildlife agreed to come and visit us with Harvey, the owl.  What an amazing opportunity for all of us to see an owl up so close, they are so very beautiful.  ISU was very impressed with the knowledge that our classroom was able to share with them about owls.  I was very proud of them.

We ended our quick study on rainbows to learn more about ducks, which we are just starting to dive into.  We have a chicken sitting on a duck egg right now, and it should hatch on Easter Sunday.  Chickens go broody a lot more often than ducks, so we chose to have a surrogate mama do the job of keeping the egg warm.

We will get ready for some fun and hands on learning for next week with hopefully lots of duckling snuggles.

Wishing you all a Happy Easter!  He has risen!!!!
