Birds!

Hello Families!

It is sooooo refreshing to be back in the classroom with the students.  There is just something about routine that makes us all feed better.

We have started a unit study on birds and we are off to a good start with lots of good questions and discoveries.  We made feeders for the birds and have loved watching them come to eat.  We have a sweet little cardinal couple that we have enjoyed watching.  :)

This week we worked on the letters B and D.  Go ahead and review these letters at home.  :)

We soaked up the beautiful sun and warmth on Thursday as we prepare for the winter weather.  I am not looking forward to it, as we have been spoiled too long. The farm friends are going to be so sad to see the above average temps go away and I am sad for them.  We will have to spoil our farm friends a little more next week as they work hard to stay warm.

We will continue our study as long as the students are interested and I suspect we may begin using the snow as a clue to what animals have been in our yard and pasture.  We will go from muddy prints to fresh prints in snow.  We will embrace whatever God has to offer us and find beauty in His creations.

Have a blessed weekend.
