Why Playing is Learning.

Conferences have started and I hope and pray that I am able to help families know the importance of play, working together, kindness, problem solving, determination, creativity, inventiveness, risk taking and ultimately knowing how to be joyful are skills that every child needs and skills that are much more important than the number of letters your child knows in November of 2019.  Some of us know all our letters and sounds and some are still discovering the world around them and learning as they go.  A child that reads at four is not smarter than a child that is five and just learning their letters.  God did not create us to all learn at the same pace.  I will show you assessments during conferences, but please know that the assessment does not tell me who your child or all the things they know.  Your child is so much more than the benchmarks and scores I am showing you.  Your child is wonderful.

What can you do at home to help your child?  You can play with them, read to them, discover with them, and love them.

I love our time together during conferences.

Big Hugs!
