Wooly Bears

It has been a busy week and unfortunately our sweet class got hit with a virus and we have had several friends gone, but we are praying everyone can rest up this weekend and be on the mend. :)  We have loved watching all the friendships grow stronger and the learning happening each day.  We truly have the sweetest class this year.  We are working on voice levels each day, as I do believe this is the loudest class I have ever taught. ;)   If you want to work at home, we are talking a lot about inside voices vs. outside voices.  I know they can do this.

We are practicing each day on writing our names and we are getting better all the time.   In the next few weeks, we will begin signing in each morning vs. finding our rocks, so keep working on this with your child.

Next Thursday we will be going to our very own "pumpkin patch".   Pumpkins will be "growing" in the field next door(if the soybeans are harvested) or in our pasture or prairie.  No matter where they decide to "grow", it is always a blast for each child to find their very own pumpkin to take home.  I am working on getting the pumpkins, which I hope to buy from a local business.  If you would like to help with the cost, you can Venmo $3-5 to @Hollie-Allen-9 or bring in cash to school.  If you are not able to help with the cost, I am more than happy to purchase a pumpkin for your child.  This is truly a fun experience for the students and a memory that they hold.

We are continuing our study on Wooly Bear caterpillars and unfortunately, I think I need a "Wooly Bear Crossing" sign in our driveway.  The pour souls are just too slow for all the cars.  If you see one in the driveway, kindly place it in the grass or prairie.  This is going to be such a fun study and we will hopefully be bringing a Wooly Bear into our classroom to observe for a few days next week.

We are continuing assessments and will thankfully be done with those this week.

NO SCHOOL ON MONDAY, OCTOBER 7th.

Blessings to you all!

Maybe we should include chickens in our school pics this year.  Priceless.

Don't worry, they were having fun!

My sweet tire loving boy.

The creativity and teamwork blows me away.  Let them play.  :)

Chicken chores.
