Our class was blessed to have the Central Iowa Bee Queen and the Bee Ambassador of Central Iowa came to visit us this week. The queen and ambassador taught us all about the importance of bees and how important they are for our fall pumpkins and apples that we get to enjoy this time of year. We had a wonderful time asking great questions and gaining more respect for bees, which sometimes get a bad reputation. I seldom hear students talk about the importance and beauty of bees and more often about how they sting us. One of my callings in life is to teach children to respect animals, and this is a stepping stone. With each new day I spend with these children, I have the honor to watch them respect the gifts of nature that God presents to us daily.
We are currently enjoying learning all about the wonders of fall and have enjoyed watching the changes and also watching the beauty of plants growing beautifully inside in our Ioponics system.
The conference schedule will be coming out next week, so be watching for an email to sign up.
May your weekend be filled with blessings of peace, snuggles and health.
