Hello!
We hope you're enjoying your snow day at home!
We have been learning about the letters R, S, T, and U the past couple of weeks. If you're looking for an easy way to reinforce writing these letters, you can find a small baking pan/cookie sheet and sprinkle enough salt to cover the pan. Let your child use a pencil, craft stick, or even their finger to practice making the letter. Once you get bored of that, you could ask them to draw you some pictures of preschool and ask them to explain the picture to you. You can also use sugar, but that doesn't tend to stay in the pan very long once your child licks her finger...I (Ms. Sam) may be speaking from personal experience... ;)
We have a few dates for your calendar:
- Feb 17: No school
- March 2 & 4: Conferences (watch your email for more info in the coming weeks)
- March 15-19: Spring Break, No preschool
- May 28: Tentative Graduation Celebration (more info to follow)
Our classroom is in need of more hand sanitizer and we have a lot of crafters who would appreciate more Scotch tape (they all prefer the kind that is see-through) :)
Some of the kids have been working hard to create a boat and doll house out of cardboard boxes - enjoy all the pictures below!
