Mail!

I'm not sure what it is this year, but holding the interest of these kiddos to dive into a unit study has been a struggle.  ;)  I think what we are finally finding success with our discussions about mail and the dramatic play area is slowly being transformed into a post office.  Talk with your child about how the mail is delivered at your house.  We will be writing a letter to our class on Monday and then making predictions on how long it will take for our letter to arrive back to us after we mail it.  I am hopeful that this will really spark the interest of the kiddos.

So far, we have studied the letters- R,M,E,T,L,C,S, and B.  We will continue covering the initial letter in the names of our classmates for our first cycle of our alphabet study.  The second cycle will be the letters in alphabetical order.   Please refer to https://digitalcommons.usu.edu/teal_facpub/404/  to learn more about the EAK instruction for teaching the alphabet.

The friendships in the classroom are really starting to blossom and we can finally all sit at group time and listen to a story after finishing up with an entire morning meeting!  Yippeeeee!   We are having a blast with this group of kiddos.  Thank you for being such amazing parents!  Your children are truly blessed with the best families.  I love watching your children run to your arms after preschool...it melts my heart.

Have a blessed weekend!

BIG HUGS!
