Birds!

So, we made bird feeders to hang in the trees around the preschool and it seems that for the most part, we are attracting chickens!  Yes, chickens are birds and we love them dearly, but the poo on the sidewalk....good grief!  So, be careful when walking into preschool.  ;)  I am going to get more bird feeders to put closer to our windows and hopefully all the cardinals in the evergreens around our home, will appreciate the feed and come visit during preschool.

We are excited about our new study and made binoculars to use at preschool and on our nature walks.

We are now on our 3rd cycle of learning about letters and we have gained so much more confidence in letter sounds and how they are used to build words and tell stories.

We will begin working more on writing numbers next week, so please encourage practice at home.  I will be posting daily notes on our door about the letter and number we work on each day.  Writing can be so tough for little hands, so make it fun!  Shaving cream in the bathtub, building letters and numbers with play-doh, writing in salt!  Be creative!   We learn by playing! :)
