Rise and Shine!

We are still studying fall and all of our studying is happening OUTSIDE!  The weather has been too amazing to stay in the classroom for too long, so we are soaking up the sun and discovering so much about the changes that are taking place in the great outdoors.  Even the animals are showing signs...birds flying in flocks, farm animals getting thicker fur coats, chickens and ducks molting all their summer feathers(naked chickens and ducks are soooo gross), and the bugs wants inside.  YUCK!  We have our fair share of Japanese Beatles in the classroom, so we observe and then try to encourage them to leave.

We have been hunting lots of leaves for some good old fashion leaf rubbing and I am always amazed at how difficult this technique is for little hands, but we are building up our muscles each day for better writing in the future.  Each day we witness the determination of these sweet little blessings, as they write their names independently...SUPER proud teachers!  Since we started signing in each morning, we have seen leaps and bounds of success and it is evident that our amazing parents are continuing this skill at home.  I love it when the kiddos take pride in their names, such an important skill at this age.

Our Fall Party will be on Monday, October 30th and I believe all the activities and snacks are being taken care of...THANK YOU!  Parents are welcome to join and students may come in their costumes if they wish.

Fall conferences will be here before we know it, so be looking for details to come soon in early November.  I can't believe how fast the weeks fly by!

Enjoy some pictures of your sweet kiddos!
