This week was kind of a blur, but we did begin studying our letters. When I teach the alphabet, the first series is the first letter in each student’s name, as that is meaningful to us. We have worked in M, A and H so far. We will continue one letter each week throughout the year, using different letter cycles. I will start posting the letter of the day on our preschool door so parents are aware and can work at home on letter recognition.
This class loves crafts and run to the tables after group time waiting for the next project. Last year, our students disliked crafts, so we are loving this change and trying to get used to coming up with a cute craft each day. We are thrilled with their love for ALL things in the classroom.
We have been reading a lot of pumpkin books and will do some learning about the life cycle of the pumpkin before we go and “pick” them in the field next door.
Reminder that we do not have preschool on Monday.
Picture forms are due on Tuesday and I will have a sign up sheet for the Halloween party on the sign in table at preschool. If you don’t drop your child off in the morning, but want to do a craft, game or snack, just send me a text or email.
Blessings!
Ms. Hollie
