Horses!

We have been truly enoying our study on horses and we have so much still to learn.  We had a couple days of getting our horse, Clover, up in the front yard so we could take turns grooming her and learning about several parts of a horse.  We will be learning more of the horse anatomy next week, but this week, we learned about the head, ears, nostrils, mane, tail, neck, legs, teeth and hooves.  Our friend, Aria, brought several horse grooming tools to share with us and we pampered Ms. Clover on Wednesday and even fed her apples and mints.  Did you know that horses LOVE peppermint candy.  If anyone wants to bring Clover treats, she loves apples, carrots and peppermint candy.  :)  Our donkey loves all these things too, but she is on a diet.  :)

We are still working on the first letters in our names and are having fun talking about all of our friends and learning how to write the first letter in their names.  I am so proud of them! We have officially started signing in each day by writing our names and all of us are trying so hard and doing great!

Today we had a veterinarian come to our classroom to talk about horses and give vaccinations to our farm cats.  The kiddos were very respectful and had great questions.

We are looking forward to next week and learning and loving together.

BIG hugs,

Hollie
