We have been having a blast writing letters to our friends and learning all about how mail travels, where stamps go, addresses and much more. We enjoyed a walk around the neighborhood last week to look at the many addresses, which was a great way to practice our numbers and letters. Street signs were fun to look at and try to read and all of the students were shouting out then numbers on mailboxes and houses...it was so much fun to see them get excited about something that we don't even think about.
It is going to be a beautiful week ahead, which means it will be muddy! Be ready to pick up your kiddos covered in mud again. ;) Mud means spring is coming, so I will rejoice in that! My teenagers were all playing on the swings and in the mud today and I would be lying if I said that I did not join in on the fun!
We are still looking for donations of paper and envelopes so we can continue the fun in our "Post Office".
