It's truly crazy how quickly we fall in love with these sweet children of yours. They instantly become like family and we would truly do anything for them. Kelly and I feel so blessed by the smiles, giggles, crazy moments and sometimes complete chaos. It's God's chaos and it is good. We have enjoyed the first few days together getting to know all the personalities that are starting to shine through...we are pretty sure everyone feels comfortable now and it has only been two days. :). It has been refreshing to see how preschool children treat one another after a year of losing faith in the power of loving others, despite differences. They argue and forgive so quickly and are truly eager to solve problems so they can play nicely together. If we don't teach anything this year besides loving Jesus and being kind, we will consider it a win. :)
Next week we will start practicing how to use our scissors, glue bottles, glue sticks, etc. and continue getting to know one another and learning about kindness. We hope to begin our project study with our Ioponics system soon. Our fish are 2-3 weeks out and we have been having fun discussing how they will arrive in the mail. Poor fish. :( It is going to be so fun watching how much learning happens around the two tanks set up in the classroom. Learning is so fun at The Big Red Barn!
